How it plays

How Skribbl.io plays

Each turn, the artist picks one of three words and draws it while a timer runs, 80 seconds by default. Everyone else types guesses into the chat, and nobody scores if the word is not guessed in time. Writing letters on the board is possible but frowned on, and players often vote down anyone who does it.

It has been on CrazyGames since 3 March 2017, longer than any other game here, and has the fewest votes of the six, 26,428. On CrazyGames it runs inside a frame from skribbl.io, the game's own site.

Your first match

  1. 0–1 min
Type a nickname, pick a language and press the Play button to join a public room.
  2. 1–3 min
Guess in the chat while others draw. When it is your turn, pick one of three words.

Money, chat and age

The chat is the game, and in a public room it is open to strangers. Players can mute, report and vote to kick each other; a private room with people you know avoids strangers altogether, and its owner can kick and ban.

Players can also draw anything on the shared board. For children, a private room with family or classmates is the safer way to play.

Good for

A video call or a classroom: 2 to 20 people, a shared link and a custom word list.

Harder for

Phone players, and anyone who should not be chatting with strangers in public rooms.
